Our Commitment
Ventura Wynwood is committed to making its website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the international standard published by the W3C.
We believe accessibility is an ongoing practice, not a one-time fix. This page describes where we are today, and how to reach us if something doesn't work the way it should.
Features We've Implemented
The Site is built with accessibility as a foundation, not an afterthought. Current features include:
- Semantic HTML. Proper use of landmarks (
header, nav, main, footer), headings, lists, and form elements so assistive technology can navigate naturally. - Keyboard navigation. Every interactive control can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone. Tab order follows the visual order of the page.
- Skip link. A "Skip to main content" link appears on focus, so keyboard users can bypass the navigation.
- Alt text. All meaningful images include descriptive
altattributes. Decorative images are marked as such. - Visible focus indicators. A clear focus ring appears on all interactive elements so keyboard users always know where they are.
- Labeled forms. Every form field has a visible, programmatically associated label. Required fields are marked with
aria-requiredandrequired. - Sufficient color contrast. Body text and UI elements meet the WCAG AA contrast ratios against our light background.
- Reduced motion. Animations are disabled automatically when the operating system is set to prefers-reduced-motion.
- Color scheme. The Site is designed for a light color scheme, with accessible contrast. We do not rely on color alone to convey information.
- No accessibility overlays. We don't use third-party accessibility overlay widgets. These tools often break assistive technology and fail to provide real accessibility. We focus on the underlying code instead.
- Responsive layout. The Site reflows to fit phones, tablets, and desktops, and can be zoomed to 200% without loss of content.
Known Limitations
We're honest about the fact that no website is ever perfectly accessible on every device, for every user, at every moment. This Site is a living project, and we are continuously improving it. If you find a page, image, or interaction that is difficult to use, we want to know — see Feedback below.
Some third-party tools we embed (for example, reservation widgets or embedded maps) are controlled by their providers. We work with providers that take accessibility seriously, but we may have limited ability to modify those components directly.
